This item has been … Read more Offering a vintage silver plated Snail dish with glass insert for butter or caviar, circa 1960s. This item has been professionally polished, with some tarnished spots remaining. The bottom has some deep pitting as shown in the photos. It is engraved on the interior of the snail shell: MH Hong Kong, E.P. ZINC ALLOY.

The knife is vintage and hallmarked E & J Leek, Ltd., Celtic plate England (which is silver-plate) and is not original to the Snail box, but fits perfectly and has a beautiful shell motif on the handle. E & J Leek Ltd. was a British manufacturer of silver-plated ware, particularly active in the early to mid-20th century

GOOD VINTAGE CONDITION. Shiny and beautiful condition with some minor spots remaining mostly under the neck and near the head area. The bottom has pitting as seen in the photos. Please review all photos as they are part of the description.
