This 100-year old solid oak chair has been revived with an antique, hand woven, Turkish camel saddlebag textile on the … Read more This 100-year old solid oak chair has been revived with an antique, hand woven, Turkish camel saddlebag textile on the inside back and new navy blue leather on the seat. It's been completely stripped to the frame and built back up using old-world, all-natural, upholstery techniques and materials, including eight-way hand-tied coil springs, coir-stuffed stitched burlap for the seat structure, and horsehair stuffing. We've used blue linen on the arms and banding. In the picture frame outside back, we've exposed ivory hemp webbing, and lined it with ivory linen. Pewter nail heads add detail.

As striking as it is comfortable, this exceptional chair will last many more years! Use it in your paneled library, eclectic living room, cigar bar, or anywhere you'd like some Old World style. The scroll arms and baluster legs with an H stretcher add a sculptural element. Patina looks and feels lovely. Reminiscent of English William and Mary style, with the baluster-like legs. Also suggested is Spanish Revival style.

For clarity, the seat front is 26.5" wide, but the orbs in the legs measure 28", outside to outside. See less
