Incredible set made of black marble base adorned with a metal figure of a dog in repose. Includes a letter holder, pen rest, inkwell and a separate blotter with original blotting paper attached. Late 19th to early 20th century set that would have been considered a fashionable necessity in a gentleman’s office. Believed to be French; however, was purchased from a dealer who lived on the French Belgian border, so it might have originated in Belgium. This unique set would be a perfect addition to any desk or a great gift for a dog lover.
The dimensions given below are larger piece. The blotter is 5.75 inches long.
