This is one of a group of recent acquisitions we just received from Paris. It is a matted botanical chromolithograph that dates to 1900. It features floral decorative designs of native European and North African plants that were to be used for textiles, wall panels, leatherworks, ceramics, jewelry inspirations, etc. True Art Nouveau elements and intricate detailing. Botanic references are noted: Trollius Europaeus (Globe flower), Helleborus (Lenten Rose), Paulmonium Coeruleum (Jacob’s Ladder). Also note artist’s signature in lower left panel. It is in pristine condition with wonderful variations of color tones in greens, yellows and mauves. It is done in rare horizontal format measuring 13.25 x 10 inches in size. Chromolithograph comes matted in a neutral tone 16 x 20 inch custom mat ready for standard size frame.
