Authentic vintage hefty galvanized tin pail or bucket originally for collecting and transporting fresh oysters to market. Some surface rust, but still completely structurally sound. Painted graphics read, "Pittman and Sons, Somers VA". Measures 13" tall, and 13.5" across including handles. Top opening is 11 5/8" diameter.
Great for river house or beach house decor. My first thought would be to repurpose as a small waste basket. Last photo shows location of Somers, VA right on the Chesapeake Bay.
