A striking antique porcelain saucer from the Sichuan Province in China. This lovely piece depicts still life scenes of mountains and botanical foliage, as well as figural drawings of two Geisha girls. Many Chinese ceramic collectors believe that red markings at the bottom of a piece reflect who the piece would be made for. For example, in this case, red would have been for an Emperor. However we have not confirmed this and do not have a COA.
The bottom reads in red:
