Mid 19th Century J & J Kohn Austrian Art Nouveau Bentwood and Cane Prie Dieu Prayer Chair
This unique prayer chair crafted of bentwood and cane is an early example of the work of J & J Kohn. The top ledge for a prayer book rests upon bent wood details with a slanted seat. The original cushion is not present. The manufacturer's mark is on the bottom inside of the seat rail.
Seat slopes, with height being 10" at the back and 7" at the front.
