In the Renaissance Revival Rose pattern from the Barrettoni già Antonibon pottery in Nove, Italy, a covered and handled sugar bowl, circa 1930s.
A charming hand painted piece in an overall floral decoration with a bright blue dash and dot border. The lid has a top knob formed as a pear with two green leaves. The double handles also show a dot and dash lining. Brightly glazed, the Rose floral pattern is distinctive to this type of Italian majolica ceramics.
5.5 in. W at the handles, x 4 in. W x 5 in. H
Marked: Impressed Italy on the base.
