The stamp on the back is from the Parfitt Furniture Company in Holyoke MA and we couldn’t find much about the manufacturer to get a good history at all. We found a picture online of the building dated 1923 and a record of the company dissolving in 1930. It’s safe to say this cabinet was manufactured pre 1930. This one door, one drawer cabinet has amazing, intact detail. The overall structure feels solid. We believe it is mahogany with crotch/burl veneer details. The veneer is in good condition visually. There are two shelves for the interior that are included. They appear to be the original shelves however the “L” brackets look newer. The glass insert also looks to be a replacement since it is smooth and clear. This cabinet measures 42” wide by 16” deep and 65” high at its tallest point. Other than standard wear and tear and daily use, the biggest issue with this cabinet is the plywood (assuming it is a replacement) floor is loose at the base of the large cabinet opening. There is ~ 1” square of veneer missing on the inside top of the door, and the top has some water rings and paint splatter. This cabinet is nearly a century old and has some battle scars. We cleaned it up so it is ready for use but it would be a wonderful project for someone to bring it back to life. We have tried to represent the wear accurately, but additional photos are available on request. See less

As far as we know it is mostly all original with a few replacement pieces added along the way to keep it going. The two biggest issues would be the floor of the upper cabinet is loose and needs to be replaced and there is ~ 1" square of veneer missing on the inside the door on the upper right side. The top has water rings and paint speckles if you're tall enough to see and there are some spots of veneer that are missing on the door fret work but it looks like they've been touched up. This is a well loved and cared for cabinet but does show appropriate wear. The case is sturdy, the drawer is solid but can stick a little on the left side when opening it. The hardware looks original and the decorative veneer on the front is in good condition. This cabinet could easily be used now or taken a step further and restored to its original beauty. We have tried to represent the wear accurately, but additional photos are available on request. less
