Gorgeous antique cast iron compote with a beautifully aged white finish and ornate openwork detail. Made in the late 19th or early 20th century in either the USA or England, this piece features a fluted pedestal base and rich, oxidized patina. Originally used in Victorian parlors or gardens to hold florals, moss, or seasonal décor. Perfect as a statement centerpiece, entryway accent, or for styling on a mantel or shelf. Could also be used to hold a plant in a garden. A rare example of early decorative ironwork and a striking and timeless addition to any vintage-inspired space.
