In 1936 Hazel Atlas introduced a new type of glass that was called “platonite”. The semi opaque glass was used for many of their patterns and colors.
Hazel Atlas made Moderntone Platonite dinnerware in a variety of pastel colors. Thet color of these plates is a deep pastel blue.
