Stunning four panel bamboo folding screen.
Each panel features a floral motif composed of cut bamboo that have been torched for color and design. Floral design has a woven cane background.
Each panel is bookended on the top and bottom with bamboo fretwork design. Great for allowing airflow while preserving privacy.
The screen is relatively heavy and is very sturdy while standing. Joints are all in good shape.
This screen is likely from the 1960s imported from Europe. I’ve seen them attributed to French and Italian design and construction.
Each panel is
66” tall
17” wide
And roughly 1.5” deep.
Roughly 50-58” wide when standing as intended.
In good vintage condition.
Would fit well with other French and British Colonial pieces, Hollywood regency, palm beach and boho themed rooms.
