A timeless example of the revival of elegant French style and flair that occurred during the reign of France's last monarch. Seats are upholstered in a muted pale tapestry fabric featuring a cartouche of roses in the center of each seat and finished with brass nailheads. This set of Napoleon III period (1852-1870) chairs features a slender design and fine detailing reflecting the sophisticated craftsmanship of the era, emphasizing elegance over sturdiness. The gently curved ladder-back, turned legs, and upholstered seats add a graceful touch, making them ideal for decorative rather than heavy use. The wood is aged to a rich patina.
