Offered is a 1950s-1960s Danish Teak wood floor lamp with an elongated cone shaped lampshade.
The base is a clean-lined disk weighed down with a heavy metal disk on the undersurface. The shaft appears to have two ring grooves which may be decorative, or evocative of a bamboo stalk. And the cone lampshade is proportionate and elegantly long and narrow.
The light socket stands slightly above the height of a doorknob - comfortable for arm chair reading - while the elongated shade gives the lamp extra height and dramatic flair. The original fabric is in good condition, however, one could have it remade with a more modern fabric to complement their home.
