- The chair is structurally sound. The caning is intact and taut and holds weight as it should. There are age-related … moreThe chair is structurally sound. The caning is intact and taut and holds weight as it should. There are age-related splits in the bamboo on both sides of the backrest (see last 2 photos). On the apron of the chair there are 2 pieces missing on both the left and right side (not noticeable until closer inspection) and 2 pieces missing on the front of the apron (again not noticeable until closer inspection). There are a couple of small white scuff marks (see photo) that I have not tried to remove. I am happy to answer any questions you may have prior to purchase or to send more photos if needed. less
