Imagine it's 1936 in America. The early morning sun is shining across the kitchen table, revealing a simplistically beautiful, yet ornately designed bowl that reflects the same fresh summer promise as the sun that touches it. Perhaps it holds oranges, figs or just meant to be cheerful in its space.
This Rookwood bowl, marked 6424, was created by the Cincinnati company in 1936. True to Rookwood standards, this piece is beautiful with it's mat finish over a simple cream glaze, highlighting a unique sunflower design with pedals that form the sides of this whimsical piece.
A wonderful addition to a robust collection or perfect for the person just putting their toe into the collector pool! Also a great gift for someone special!
