D’Este & Zane Art Glass was founded as Vetreria Artistica D’Este P. in 1965 by the skilled hands of master glassmaker Pacifico Mirco D’Este. Initially, production ranged mainly on the “ancient Murano” genre with chalices, cups, candlesticks, figurines, goldoniane, Moors, candle holders, 18th century Venetian style chandeliers and various objects, all hand-made with the oldest Murano processes: filigree, zanfirico, murrina.
