These chairs are typically crafted from pine wood and feature hand-painted designs simulating various types of marble, such as Carrara, green of the Alps, and Siena marble. 




Each cartouche (ornamental frame) on the chair is uniquely painted, and the overall design often incorporates vibrant colors. 



Each chair has a family coat of arms.
Such chairs are a prime example of Italian neoclassical furniture from the 19th century, known for their architectural forms and elaborate decorative elements, including "trompe l'oeil" (trick of the eye) faux marble finishes and gilded details. 




Hall chairs like this were commonly placed in entryways or grand halls, serving both functional and decorative purposes.

Good antique condition consistent with age and use, some loss of paint and slight water damage at the bottom of one chair.
