Cover … Read more This is a matted vintage Art Nouveau fashion print that was originally cover art for a 1907 French magazine. Cover art is highly collectible and desirable as a genre of art collecting. It has become increasingly more difficult to find in excellent condition with the passage of time as cover art is highly susceptible to rips, stains, and age discoloration with the passage of time. This dramatic image is in excellent condition done in warm earth tones. It features a young woman dressed in period chic fashion and out for a walk on a windy autumn afternoon. The illustration is signed in lower left. Le Figaro Mode was a French periodical that featured reviews and articles relating to theater and cultural events of the decortive arts period. Note the beautiful Art Nouveu border which adds a wonderful design element to the image. 10 x 13 inches in size. Comes matted in a 16 x 20 neutral tone custom mat ready for a standard size frame.
