Vintage oxblood red Foo Dogs, made of resin. Foo Dogs or Imperial Guardian Lions are strong feng shui protection symbols. Because lions are not indigenous to China, it is believed travelers brought stories about lions as Buddhist protectors of Dharma. Foo dogs unusual appearance were modeled based on a blend of the travelers' descriptions and native dogs.
