A masterful example of late 19th century English craftsmanship, this George II Revival chaise longue brings timeless elegance to any refined interior. At 80 inches long and upholstered in a fine Belgian linen, the piece invites relaxation while commanding attention.
Beyond its striking appearance, this chaise has become something of a crowd favorite in our showroom. Every person who has sat in it has commented on how incredibly comfortable it is, with many saying they could easily fall asleep in it. It’s the kind of piece that invites you to sit down and stay awhile.Carved from solid mahogany, the cabriole legs are extremely sculptural. Hand-carved with acanthus flourishes and terminating in bold ball-and-claw feet.
The form is stately yet inviting, with graceful rolled arms and a tightly tailored seat.The frame is original and exceptionally sturdy, with a fully intact and supportive high-spring system. The upholstery is newly completed in an upholstery-grade Belgian linen, finished with a double-welt gimp in 100% linen.
