An exquisite pair of Mid-19th Century studded leather Spanish armchairs. Featuring tall, slender backrests crowned with subtle arches and grand out-swinging arms, each chair is adorned with chocolate-colored leather upholstery embossed and silver leafed, reminiscent of medieval iron strapwork found on the grand entry doors of European cathedrals. The leather is attached with brass nailheads. With turned wood front legs, complemented by cylindrical back legs and bun feet. The leather is worn and there is some loss shown in pictures the overall look is stunning
