Fabulous older vintage solid wood Director Chair made in South Paris, Maine by the Paris Manufacturing Company (google them if you like history). Probably dates from 1930-1950. Excellent patina with some age appropriate craquelure to the original finish. Original canvas fabric is still strong and usable, though it has faded in spots, but easy to make replacements if you choose. Use it as is for the look of age, or refresh with all new fabric. Frame of the chair is very sturdy and the original steel hinges and locking mechanisms are fully functioning. The manufacturer's mark is burned into the wood under the seat. I do not know the wood type.
