This pattern was developed at Dartington Pottery in 1987 by Clare Woodhall, who was then head decorator, and Janice Tchalenko. It was based on repeating the tail feather motif, a process carried out using sponges and slip trailers to build up many layers of green, blue and gold glazes. Impressed mark to base. This pitcher is 38 years old but it looks brand new, with no chips, cracks, or restoration. The colors and design are flawlessly beautiful. I love peacock design and the quality of this piece is amazing. See less
