This is a Beautiful & Fine Quality Antique American Wall Hanging Etageres & Curio Cabinet. Circa Late 19th Century - Approx 1870s - 1880s. It is Rendered in the Classic Victorian Eastlake Period Style ( 1870 to 1890 ). It is Completely Hand Made out of Solid Mahogany. It also has Hand Chisel Carved Stylized Floral Highlight. The Shelves have Fancy Lathe Turned Gallery Fencing. The Front Door is Mounted with a Piece of Thick Glass with Wide Beveled Edges. The Door has its Original Fancy Heavy Cast Brass Hinges and Keyhole Escutcheon. Note Also the 2 Original Oversize Fancy Cutout & Diamond Pierced Brass Wall Hanger Brackets. This Piece Would Have Been Made by a Experienced Cabinet - Furniture Maker as the Exceptionally Nice Attention to Detail in the Overall Construction would indicate. It is in Excellent All Original Condition and Displays Beautifully. It Also Still Retains its Original Varnish that is in Excellent Condition with Nice Patina. It is Strong, Sound and Perfectly Usable. The Door is Mounted With its Original Brass Locking Mechanism But NOTE THAT THE KEY INCLUDED IS NOT ORIGINAL SO THE LOCK IS NOT FUNCTIONAL ( Works Well as a Handle to Open the Door ).
ALSO NOTE THAT IT IS MISSING THE SMALL INTERNAL CABINET SHELF.
It Measures Overall Approx 25 inches Tall x 23 1/2 inches Long x 7 inches Wide.
