This fabulous set of vintage 1960's Italian Bitossi black ceramic bowl and vase is rare. It was designed by Alvino Bagni for Bitossi and produced for Good Friends which was an American importer and very often commissioned Bitossi to make unusual pieces. These are from the 60's. Hallmarked on the bottom on both pieces with stamps of numbers and country ; Italy 95/292 and Italy 95/286. The pair which is only sold as set is a large bowl and vase with flattened gold applied ceramic knob studs surround. Artistic with a deep satin glaze. It is modern yet has an odd to a refined brutalist design in its form. Very chic! Again these are rare and very special.
