The Modernist fine art poster print is published by Atelier Walter Diethelm VSG, Zurich for The Kunsthaus Zurich Museum. Printed in Switzerland in 1971 by Wolfsberg-Druck, Zurich in a limited edition of 500 on the occasion of the exhibition. It features an artwork image originally created by Rothko in 1953 titled " Orange and Pink on Red ". It is hand numbered in pencil 87/500 in the lower left front bottom corner under the artwork image.

Mark Rothko ( 1903 - 1970 ) is an American Modernist painter of Russian Jewish descent. Although Rothko himself refused to adhere to any art movement, he is generally defined as an Abstract Expressionist. His bold use of color fields make the artworks impressively iconic and highly individual. Rothko is considered to be one of the most important and influential American painters of The Twentieth Century. Artworks by Rothko are included in the collections of any of the world's most prestigious museums.

The rare out of print framed Abstract Expressionist extra large format fine art exhibition poster print measures 26 1/2" W X 44 5/8" H X 1 1/2" D. It is printed with vibrant ink colors in a matte eggshell finish.

It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern natural oak wood satin eggshell finish museum box style frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent condition. The poster print is in excellent clean vintage condition consistent with age, light signs of handling, and some very light minor visible surface wear.
