The poster promotes Eliot Porter's (1901-1990), "Intimate Landscapes" nature photography which showcases a wooded scene capturing the intricate beauty of nature. The exhibition was held at The Metropolitan Museum Art in New York City, printed in 1979, the year of the first one-man color photography exhibition at The Met. Intimate Landscapes, an exhibition of fifty-five color photographs by Eliot Porter, is the first one-man exhibition of color photographs ever presented at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
