Franciscan's Terra Cotta pattern, introduced in 1965, features a distinctive earthy tone and a stylized leaf design around the rim.
This pattern reflects the mid-century modern aesthetic, emphasizing natural colors and simple, organic forms. Franciscan Pottery was acquired by Wedgwood in 1979, and production of many patterns, including Terra Cotta, ceased. Today, vintage Franciscan Terra Cotta dinnerware is sought after by collectors and those looking to add a touch of retro charm to their table settings.
