American Brilliant Period Cut Glass
Shallow low bowl
Circa 1900-1920
J.Hoare & Company, Corning, NY Established 1853
This period of glass making from about 1877 to WW1 is known for hand cut crystal with deep design cutting producing brilliant light reflection.
Beautiful miters in arching star shapes with central hobstar and strawberry design elements.
These pieces were used in the home only afforded by the wealthy. As such, this antique comes with age and pre-owned use. There are a couple of tooth chips that I’ve tried to show in the photos. It does not detract from its beauty or use. Many will use as place for chocolates, relishes, trinkets, or a display in your cabinet. An excellent example of this time period.
