Circa 1750 early George III period slant front bureau desk. Wood referred to at the time as "Red Walnut", with oak drawer liners. Original, fine cut-work bat-wing brass hardware. Original bracket feet, tipped up due to wear over nearly 275 years. The simple interior is refined & useful with 2 large & 4 smaller drawers below 8 pigeon holes.
