Set of four lovely faceted crystal cocktail glasses, C. 1940. Extremely versatile footed shape appropriate to serve either mixed drinks or wine.
We believe that the exterior of the pieces are cut crystal as the facets are sharp and not rounded on the edges whereas the decoration on the inside of the footed base appears to be pressed. There is a seam that is visible on each piece. We are not experts in glass but feel that this is an accurate portrayal of the fabrication technique. No maker's marks.
Condition is very good; some fabrication irregularities, some base edge roughness and 2 chips on the bottom of one footed base. Base roughness can be felt but not seen; the chips can be seen but are not noticeable when glass is right side up.
