Gorgeous and generously proportioned (15.5W x 11.5D) English antique ironstone platter. White field with poppies in shades of yellow, coral, and pink amongst foliage in rusty brown. Mark en verso of Royal Ironstone China, A.J. Wilkinson, England. Our research suggests fabrication prior to 1896 as the mark doesn't contain the later designation of "Ltd". .
No cracks, no chips, no crazing. vibrant colors, minor gilt loss. faint half dollar sized stain but less noticeable due to location near floral spray; minor transfer irregularities typical of the period.
