They are … Read more This is a RARE PAIR of large format German Art Nouveau Decorative Arts Chromolithographs that date to 1890. They are original to the date and are NOT recent reproductions. They are works by Anton Seder, ( 1860-1916) a painter from Munich. He was known for his studies of nature. He worked with plant motifs to create ornamental, decorative designs. Seder was the director of Decorative Arts College in Strausbourg. His works were inspirational. They were rich in color. He often worked with metallic paints. Note the metalic gold in one of the images. These have classic Art Nouveau elements. The chromos are large panels with strong depth of color and detail. Each measures 13.25 x 18.5 inches in size. They are in excellent antique condition with clean borders. No indication of age markings or discoloration.. You are purchasing a set of 2. See less
