A 19th century French Country Louis XV style horloge de parquet, or tall case clock from Burgundy. The case is made of walnut and cherry with burl of elm panels. In two parts, with a curved shaped body and chapeau de gendarme crown. Dated 1841, carved into the case. The enamel clock face has Roman numerals and a decorative cast brass surround with rooster. Seven day Morbier movement strikes on the hour and once on the half. Professionally cleaned and in working order. Weights at pendulum adjusted. Good craftsmanship with pegged and mortise and tenon construction. Beautiful wood grain with waxed patina. Please refer to photos for more details. Circa 1840-1860. # 82358
