This lovely vintage salad plate is A. Reynaud et Cie Limoges Céralene from the late 1980s - early 1990s. The beautiful, intricate floral pattern is a reproduction of a design commissioned by Louis XV in the 18th century for his mistress, Marquise de Pompadour. The orange and blue floral pattern with tiny birds and fish is accented with a gold border - this pattern is meant to be an homage to Chinese porcelain styles of the era. This plate has the rooster backstamp signifying that this is authentic Céralene. This china is exceptionally uncommon to find and retired Céralene patterns are perennially popular with collectors.
Measurements: 7.5" Diameter.
Condition: Excellent with no wear or damage.
