Lovely 9-piece collection of French Limoges porcelain plates; white with white daisies and pink blossoms amid bright green foliage.
Mark en verso of the esteemed porcelain works of Wm Guérin & Co. Founded by Wilhelm Geurin (1838-1912) a native of Limoges, trained in porcelain production, the company acquired many of its competitors growing through the late 19th C into the early 20th. His sons joined the firm in 1903 and it continued to thrive until the years of WWI when demand for the fine, luxury items was tamped down. In the early 20's, the company was acquired by another and the name changed. Hence, from our research, we believe these date to the last years of the 19th C or the first decade of the 20thC.
Excellent antique condition, no cracks, no chips, no crazing vibrant pastel colors. Possibly unused.
