* A maru obi (丸帯) is a full-width, two-sided kimono sash, considered the most formal type of women's obi in Japanese traditional wear. It is primarily used with formal kimonos like tomesode, furisode, and homongi. While the maru obi was most popular during the Taishō and Meiji periods, it's now relatively rare as a worn garment but can be found in antique collections
