THIS antique Prattware English transferware blue mustard jar with a boar hunting scene. This jar has the old English registry marking on the bottom indicating the date August 19, 1856. Finding the registry mark is uncommon on these jars. Jar is in excellent condition. No chips, No cracks, just some light crazing.
English Registry Mark: The top Roman numeral IV indicates that the jar is a ceramic item, the L indicates the year 1856, R identifies the month of August, and the day it was made was the 19th. The 5 at the bottom indicates the parcel or bundle number.
Measures about 4" inches tall with an approximate 2.75" inch diameter at the widest point. Excellent overall condition
