Absolutely rare kitsch design from Italy, 1960s.
Chenille or shredded velvet tapestry in natural white/amber, pink, red, green, dark yellow and orange.
Sweet putti, surrounded by roses, ribbons, twigs\. all very baroque!
The story says that this is an Italian tradition: \. the groom sends this blanket to the bride before the wedding. So the anecdote! Here in the mid-century version in brilliant colours.
Simply rare, beautiful, very good vintage condition.
