Louis XVI period clock or cartel clock in gilded wood, richly decorated and carved. In good overall condition, this object is very decorative. It incorporates the attributes of Louis XVI decor with the ribbons and the Louis XVI bow. Two large birds and a laughing figure's head enliven the decoration. Sheet metal dial and back door. The mechanism works perfectly with its pendulum, but was replaced in the second half of the 19th century.
