Two early plank bottom chairs from a rural home in northern Indiana. Windsor style backs with plenty of lean. These have some character and patina but overall, in very good condition. There are no cracks, no chips, no repairs. Expected scuffs, scratches, rubs in the finish but it is fairly consistent and intact. Structurally quite good although one of the chairs has some "loose joints" typical of these old chairs. Could be glued and clamped if you so choose. The other chair remains pretty solid. Neither are generally loose or wobbly, currently functional. There is a partial split with a hole in the top of the one of the uprights-see close up. The other chair has holes in the top of both uprights-see close up. One has hole drilled in the back of the middle horizontal stretcher-see close up. No splits or loss in the plank seats. Direct from a local estate, in very good condition overall. Please study photos and send any questions.
One chair is about 33" tall, the other 31.75" tall. Other dimensions are roughly 16" wide at the top, 18" deep, seats about 16-16.5" high.
