A splendid Chinese wooden box with hand carved dragons in high relief and open work. A round disk shape, representing the “flaming pearl” is on the front lid, and a shield is on the inside. Both were left plain and flat for monogramming. This box might have been intended for a man, that is, for cigars and the like. Comes with original key.
