A very nice pair of mirror image Chinese crackle glaze Nanking vases decorated in famille verte enamels with a continuous scene of warriors. The rim, shoulder, and base have incised brown iron oxide glazed bands. The shoulder band also features 4 applied dragons with alternating medallions depicting fruit. Applied foo dog handles/ears complete the vases. The base has an apocryphal four character mark, and dates late Qing, circa 1880.
