Blue and white decoration with the Shuangxi symbol, the ideogram for “double happiness” and symbol of marital fidelity, on a background of garlands.
The shape of the pot is robust and rounded, with a narrow neck and unfinished rim, suggesting that the piece had a lid. The base of the pot shows signs of natural wear, consistent with the age of the piece, and the absence of enamel on the base exposes the earthy tone of the raw porcelain.
