This Italian style globe/orb with matching base is a showstopper! It is fashioned out of marbled clay and glazed to highlight the oxblood and mustard colors of the piece. Marbelized clay was once popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Review of the underside reveals the marble effect and the craftmanship..The orb sits nicely atop and is fitted for the ridged base. And would sit perfectly on your shelf, table or bookshelf too! Both stand and globe are separate yet are made of same material.
