This Chinese armchair features a rectangular pierced back accented with an exquisite carved splat, adorned with geometrical scrolls, abstract cloud motifs and fretwork motifs (some of which are missing). Two curved sloping arms are strengthened by carved supports and rest on a rectangular wooden seat. The armchair is raised on four straight legs with side stretchers, adorned with a carved skirt on the sides.
