The statue is finely carved from walnut and depicts Saint Peter holding a bible in his hand, the statue is carved wearing monastic robes and a cloak. The beatific features of the statue are finely executed with St. Peter depicted with a beard and short carved hair, the statue has a warm mellow dark honey colored patina, the statue is around 350 years old and in good condition.
Height is 25" and weight is approximately 20lbs.
Provenance; the statue has been in the Olson family of Oregon for over a century and was acquired by the family in France in the late 1800s. See less
