This beautiful Plate was made in Hongkong by Yuet Tung China works during 60's, the theme of plate imitated MING dynastic fighting roosters theme。it was hand painted in Guangdong style which was one of Chinese Porcelain paintings In South China Guangdong and was very popular to export abroad during later 19 century and earlier20 century.
Yuet Tung China was the first hand painting Porcelain manufactory in Hongkong , found in 1928 and the last one in Hong Kong. the founder Cho Ru Song, was artist running a hand paint porcelain factory in Guang Zhou, he then moved to Hongkong , introduced Guangdong porcelain painting technic ,and brought some Porcelain painting masters flowoing him. At the peak production time, the factory has had over 300 artists handing painting the porcelain works.
Cho Ru Song and his son were friends of master artists , Chao Shiao Ang( 赵少昂)Yang 善shen,(杨善堔)of Southern Art School( 岭南派)who very often came over to factory for tea or chat and painted some of their artwork on Porcelain. which now are very rare and extremely valuable collection if you can found.(photo10th)
The governor of Hongkong had visited this factory and his wife had ordered porcelain works from them, which was called "Governor 's wife Porcelain."(Photo 9th) their clients includes actress Dame Elizabeth, Duke of Edinburgh and wealthy families in HongKong for their great detail art craftsman and high qualify

The theme flighting rooster with Chinese cabbage means prosperity due to similar pronunciation of Chinese Cabbage( ba cai) and Prosperity( fa Cai).
On the back of plate, it marks
" decoration Hongkong " distinguished itself from other manufacturers.
The fighting rooster was one of 26 theme which ware very popular during 60's and 70's of last century.
