Austrian bronze tripod with glass bowl. Three legs with three winged Seraphim supporting the frame with a serpent spiraling up the center to drink from the cup, references to the mystery of Hygieia cleanliness and good health. The serpent (associated with healing and regeneration) drinks from her cup, the bowl of Hygieia, which represents medicine and cure. The tazza is a measured symbol of Medicine and health. The measurements are 12.25" tall and 8" in diameter. The bronze is from the mid-19th century, the bowl is from the mid-20th.
Now, it is a beautiful centerpiece for flowers, fruit, or to floating blossoms.
